Czech Ministry of Health vaccination campaign “Czechia Vaccinates” for Ukrainians

Czech Ministry of Health vaccination campaign “Czechia Vaccinates” for Ukrainians

Since the beginning of October, a campaign promoting vaccination against COVID-19 has been running in the Czech Republic. It includes an outreach campaign in the form of stops with a travelling exhibition. Alongside this campaign, the Ministry of Health also wanted to reach out to and offer help to the Ukrainian minority in the Czech Republic, especially refugees. AMIGA cooperates on the part of the campaign aimed at Ukrainians, which is supported both in content and financially by UNICEF. Besides COVID-19 vaccination, we have also focused it on the mandatory vaccination of children against measles and polio. In Ukraine, these vaccinations have long shown very low coverage and high morbidity and mortality, even before the war. One of the problems of wartime migration is, for example, that neither adults nor children have their vaccination records with them and are then considered unvaccinated. The campaign aims to provide information, knowledge and support to people in this situation.
