IOM – Support for Ukrainian refugees with disabilities

Project goals:

To pilot a cash-based support programme for disadvantaged refugees from Ukraine who are unable to work due to their disability.
To support caregivers of refugees with disabilities with the aim of strengthening their resilience.
To connect and support NGOs helping refugees from Ukraine and to inform them about available support mechanisms and services for people with disabilities.

This pilot project will help clarify the needs of refugees with disabilities, which will help provide better services and support advocacy efforts aimed at improving the system of state support for refugees with disabilities. The cash-based intervention will help cover a bridge period before more systematic solutions are introduced at government level.
